Western Australia Police Pipe Band - Schools Program

Last year, 2009, Western Australia Police Pipe Band visited over fifty primary schools, meeting a cross-range of approximately seventeen thousand of children. As part of the schools program, The Band do a 20 minute performance followed by talks by each band officer in the classrooms. During the talks to each individual classroom, the band officers explain their role within Western Australia Police, followed by a guided tour of their uniform and instrument also giving the children/pupils an opportunity to ask more questions.

Competition Time
As it may have been mentioned in your classroom, we run a small competition based on any drawings that you have sent in to thank the band. The competition runs through each school term and winners receive a choice of merchandise on offer from the band which can be worn with pride. Apparently all the cool kids have got a bit of the Police Pipe Band's Merchandise
